About the role
We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our high‑growth team at Finovate Global. In this role you will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable cloud‑based architectures that power our fintech platforms across the South African market. You will work closely with product managers and other engineers to deliver robust, high‑performance software solutions while mentoring junior members of the team.
What you will do
- checkArchitect and develop high‑throughput APIs using Node.js and TypeScript.
- checkLead the transition to a serverless microservices architecture on AWS.
- checkEnsure application performance, uptime and security across all environments.
- checkCollaborate with cross‑functional teams to define, design and ship new features.
What you will bring
- verified6+ years of professional software development experience.
- verifiedExpert proficiency in modern JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript and React.
- verifiedStrong experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL) and NoSQL solutions.
- verifiedProven track record of deploying and managing production workloads on AWS.
